Celebration Day at Federation Square – What a Fantastic Day!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Celebration Day at Federation Square on Sunday 5th October as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival — what an incredible turnout and atmosphere!
From Mahjong and fortune cookies at our U3A Network Victoria Marquee to the vibrant mix of music, dance, entertainment and workshops across the entire precinct, the day truly embodied the festival’s overall theme of: Connect, Create, Celebrate.
Our Highlights included:
* The ever-popular Mahjong tables at our U3A Network Victoria stand drawing curious minds of all ages and seasoned players alike.
* Smiles all around as we handed out our free fortune cookies – spreading the word about U3A and adding a sweet surprise to the day.
* A joyful mix of activities from Tai Chi to Ukulele jams and Table tennis pop-ups.
* And of course, the fabulous ladies from U3A Kingston, The Old Spice Girls, lighting up the main stage with their performance!
We’re proud to be part of a community that celebrates lifelong learning, creativity, and connection.
