U3A Warrnambool is holding an event at Deakin University on 16th April 9.30am to 4pm focusing on Coastal Hazards in a time of rapid climate change.
As you are no doubt acutely aware, changes to flood zone overlays and effects on house prices and overall development is rapidly becoming a hot button issue, particularly for towns bordering both the sea and rivers.
The conference will hear from four leading scientists, and will be followed by presentations by Moyne, Corangamite, and Warrnambool Councils detailing how they are addressing this issue.
