This short course is primarily intended as an aid for learners of other languages, especially German, Italian, Spanish and French. Anyone who would like to simply learn about English grammar is also welcome. Grammar is about systems, structures and patterns in language rather than just rules. Each week we will focus on a different aspect of English grammar and look at how this knowledge can be applied to enhance skills in another language. I am a self-confessed language nerd: a German-English translator, volunteer English tutor, learner of Italian and former teacher of German and English Language.
