U3A Port Phillip: Saturday Seminars - Ten Pathways to Death and Disaster, Sat 20 July.

Drawing on the book Ten Pathways to Death and Disaster: Learning from fatal incidents in mines and other high hazard workplaces (Federation Press, 2014), the presentation will describe the model and its application to a number of incidents including Beaconsfield and the 2016 Dreamworld mass fatality. Attention will then turn to the key lessons for prevention and how Ten Pathways can (and to some extent is) be implemented.

Presenter: Michael Quinlan, emeritus professor of industrial relations at UNSW Sydney.
